Check out the video below.

New Song: Willow Smith's second single "21 Century Girl"

Willow Smith's highly-anticipated second single has finally here.  Her first single "Whip My Hair" managed to top the charts worldwide.  Now she is ready to keep moving with her new single "21st Century Girl".

The dance/pop track is not as catchy as her first single but I think it will still managed to be another chart topping single for her.  The video for the single was shot last month and is set to premiere soon.  Willow is set to perform the song on Oprah Tuesday March 1st.

On the same day the song will available for purchase exclusively on iTunes (3/1).

Video Premiere: Lady Gaga - Born This Way

So here it is, Lady Gaga's new music video for "Born This Way".  The visual was directed by fashion photographer Nick Knight.

Overall I really liked it.  The intro I could have done without.  The video was her vision and interpretation of the birth of a new race.  Do I think that this is one of her best videos? No, but she hasn't in my opinion put a bad video out.  I will say also, this was hyped up a little too much.

In the end, she looked incredible, dancing was great.

What do you think?

Lykke Li streams new album "Wounded Rhymes"

Swedish singer/songwriter Lykke Li is set to release her second album "Wounded Rhymes" tomorrow February 28th.  For the impatient fans, here is the entire album now stream via SoundCloud.  On the first listen the album seems a lot than her debut "Youth Novels", but still a solid piece of work.

Lady Gaga to release 2 videos for "Born This Way"

Lady Gaga made an appearance on the Gayle King Show earlier this week to discuss her latest single "Born This Way".  She announced plans to release 2 versions of the video, 1 of them are premiering tomorrow online at 11am EST (4pm GMT).

The second will be more stripped-down version of the song and video.  It will be released on iTunes at a later date.  Proceeds from this version will go to anti-bullying charities.

Nicki Minaj Next Single is............

Did It On "Em"

Nicki Minaj has announced the next single from her platinum-certified debut album, "Pink Friday".  The track will be on the radio on March 8th.  It will serve as the 5th single from LP.  Her 4 previous singles made it in top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100.

This is my least favorite song on "Pink Friday" album.  I hoping for "Same Me", "Roman's Revenge", or "Fly".

Adele's "21" album sales continue to go up

The performances that Adele has been are paying off because its keeping her at the top of the iTunes chart. "21" is still sitting at #1, while her first album "19" has went up to #3.  Her single "Rolling in the Deep" is currently #26 on the Billboard Hot 100.

And last, the first-week sales predictions for "21" has risen again.  She was to expected to sell 275-300k, but now Hits Double Daily are predicting that it could go over the 300k mark.

Chrystina and Natalie has left the group Girlicious

Some bad news for all the Girlicious fans out there, members Chrystina and Natalie has left the group for unknown reasons.  Nichole is still in the group and will apparently move on I guess with a new line-up.  The message was posted on their official Facebook page.

I kinda felt this was going to happen.  Some rumours says that they left due the low album sales from their second album "Rebuilt".  I don't know if it is true or not, but it is a possible reason because their singles wasn't doing well.  "Rebuilt" was a good album but it didn't do as well, compared to the first.

In Robin Antin case, I'm wondering what she's going to do.  It seems like to me that her music groups she built or helping to build are just crumbling right before her eyes:

The Paradiso Girls:  I know that Robin didn't create the group, she did have a helping hand with some of the stuff that they have done.  The group got dropped from their label and has official disbanded.

The Pussycat Dolls:  Now, with this situation, their is more than one person to blame for the break-up including Robin, but I'm not going to go in because I've already expressed how felt about this.  Nicole did announced earlier this year that she was leaving to pursue her solo career.

Girlicious: And finally Girlicious, at moment there has not been an official statement on the reason why that they left, but in this case I don't think Robin had anything to with it there departure.

I'm going to be looking out to see what she's going to with the PCD and Girlicious now.

Video Premiere: Ke$ha - Blow

Today, Ke$ha has premiered the music video for her latest single "Blow".  The singer gets into a laser match with Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek and more.

Ke$ha looked good in the video, but I really didn't like too much.

The single “Blow” is currently at #32 on the Billboard Hot 100,  it has been climbing due to digital sales and increasing airplay.

If you're outside the US and can't view the video below, go to Direct Lyrics.

New Music:Listen to Avril Lavigne's "Goodbye Lullaby" (Stream)

March 8th (US) - March 7th (UK)

Here is the first listen of Avril Lavigne's fourth studio album "Goodbye Lullaby" that drops March 8th. The first single "What The Hell" has done well peaking to #10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

From listening to it, this album is very grown up compared to her last LP "The Best Damn Thing".  It sounds like this album is very stripped down.

My favorite tracks so far are "Smile", "4 Real", "Remember When".  So I'm hoping one of these get chosen for second single.

This album is a great listen.  Take a listen to it.

Ciara says positive during her record label drama

It seems like Ciara is refusing to let her record label drama get her down.  While on the red carpet, she had a chat with Rap-Up about her future plans and current situation.

CiCi told Rap-Up that she has some TV projects in the works, will be heading overseas soon for some international shows like Australia’s Supafest in April, and that she’s still focused on music and working on her songwriting.

She also confirms that her single with Usher "Turn It Up" will not be receiving a music video.  Of course, this not shocking because Ciara told the public about her record label doing her dirty and is begging them to drop her.  If you haven't read Ciara's letter from Facebook go here.

Her new single is titled "Who Says", she is set to do an interview with Ryan Seacrest on March 10th were she will exclusively premiere the song.  Her record label Hollywood Records said:

At the moment the new album does not have a title yet, but the LP is set to drop June 28th.

Jessie J releases new single "Casualty of Love"

Jessie J her brand new single "Casualty of Love" on US iTunes today.

The soulful R&B ballad  "Casualty of Love" feels more like "Jessie" because it shows her true vocal talent.  I love "Do It Like A Dude" and "Price Tag" but I like it, that she's bring it down a bit from the up-tempo tracks and showing a more valuable side.

If you live here in the US, "Casualty of Love" has been made available today.

Adele sophomore album "21" set to top the Billboard 200

Out Now (US/Canada) - Out Now (UK)

Adele’s sophomore album 21 is predicted to top the Billboard 200 next week with sales in between 225-250k.

Adele is set to the highest first-week sales since Taylor Swift’s Speak Now, that sold 276k at the beginning of January.

Adele’s does have a strong promotional campaign, she had a TV performance of "Rolling in the Deep" live on David Letterman.  The track is becoming a hit here in the US, reaching to #41 on the Billboard Hot 100 and still climbing the charts.

In the UK, "21" has already sold over the 500k and is still top for four consecutive weeks.  So far it looks like it will be one of the best selling albums of 2011.

To be honest, I didn't think that "21" would except to sell this much here in US, but then again why wouldn't it, it is a great album.

Jordin Sparks coming back with new single

Jordin Sparks is finally ready to release some new music this year.  Here are some details.

Her new single is rumored to be a dance track, titled "Is This Love".  Multiple sources are saying, Jordan is filming the video for the song.

It looks like she may take the dance genre route, which I'm not surprised.  Dance/Pop music is what is in today.  Jordin's last album Battlefield did not do as well as her debut, so hopefully the third will be successful.

If the video is being shot, then we should be hearing song very soon.

Her Majesty & The Wolves performs on UK's Got To Dance

Kimberley Wyatt's new musical duo Her Majesty & the Wolves performed a 4 song medley on Sky 1 talent contest Got To Dance last night.

Kim did not sing at all, but she did put on a good show.  It was energetic, dramatic and something new.  Its good seeing Kim put her talent to use, instead of being in background or in Nicole's shadow.

Stars In Your Eyes at the moment has not charted in the UK yet.  They may not have a chart topping single yet but their future seems bright.

Check it out below.

Taio Cruz & Kimberly Wyatt performs "Higher"

Recently Kimberly Wyatt did 2 performances with Taio Cruz in the UK, Daybreak and Let's Dance For Comic Relief. They performed together Taio's hit single "Higher".

Kim's vocal performance on Daybreak was not good at all.  The Comic Relief performance was much better.

Kim Kardashian snapped in the studio with The Dream

This is one of the main reasons why the music industry is going to ground today......................Kim Kardashian.

It seems like anyone can gain some popularity, and can get a record deal just like that, or have a major producer to get with.  Hell it seems like I can even get a record deal, and I can't sing to save my damn life. (LOL)

Kim K is preparing to debut her new trash track "Turn It Up", this is the same song she debuted at a nightclub on New Years day.  Hype Williams directed the video and has already been shot.  The video should premiere soon after the single premiere.

Here are some in studio photos of the socialite with producer The Dream (who the produced the track).  Kim says the track will premiere in three weeks on Ryan Seacrest.

Official Single Cover: Keri Hilson - One Night Stand (Feat. Chris Brown)

Like I stated in the late post, I wanted Keri Hilson to release a new single.  It looks like she is, she's chosen "One Night Stand" featuring Chris Brown.

She recently told Rap-Up

"My fans are really liking "One Night Stand" with Chris Brown. I have a lot of favorites, but the fans are wanting "One Night Stand". It's going to be my urban single."

Rap-Up also said that the treatment for the video is currently being finalized and is scheduled to be shot later this month.

I really love the track, I hoping this song would get chosen.  Can't wait to see what the music video is going to be.

Keri Hilson performs "Pretty Girl Rock" on Jimmy Kimmel Live

R&B singer Keri Hilson delivered once again another performance of her hit single "Pretty Girl Rock". She worked the stage with wash jeans, cropped top and boots.  It seems like her promotion for her latest single "Pretty Girl Rock" and "No Boys Allowed" album hasn't stopped because she managed to the perform on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" show last night, where she performed.

I understand that this song is big hit but it’s about time she started promoting/performing a new single.  On the other hand since the track came out, it’s impressive how she keeps hitting the stage since her album release.

Check out her performance.

Video Premiere: Britney Spears - Hold It Against Me

Here is what we all been waiting for.....Britney Spears new music video "Hold It Against Me".  First of all let me say Britney looks really good.  In the beginning of the visual I wasn't too sure because for me it didn't really get interesting until I got half way thought the video.

The video is great, their heart-pumping action, she ends up fighting in a scene with herself.

Check it out.  Tell me what you think?

Alicia's longtime producer Kerry Brothers exclusively revealed to Rap-Up TV.......

I loved her last album, she never puts out bad music, so who knows what she will do this around.  The new album will probably be out in the fall.

One more thing, what ever happened to "Put It In A Love Song" video?

Lady Gaga on the "Tonight Show"

Lady Gaga hit up the Tonight Show With Jay Leno Monday night and discussed the egg a.k.a the vessel, that she arrived in at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.  She told Jay that it took her a year to produce her new single, and she mentioned how much she loves Willow Smith.

"I told her that she inspired me to whip my hair back and forth on stage,” Gaga said. She then discussed the controversy between “Born This Way” and Madonna’s “Express Yourself."

"There is really no one who is a more adoring and loving Madonna fan than me," Gaga told Leno. "I am the hugest fan, personally and professionally". "Well the good news is I got an email from her people sending me their love and support on behalf of the single. And if the queen says it shall be, then it shall be!"

Gaga announced she’s doing a taping special on HBO of her Monster Ball concert.

Lady Gaga stomps on Britney Spears with huge Billboard debut

Recently Lady Gaga has been taken over pop singer Britney Spears for breaking records and history with historic sales and airplay records.  Over a three day span, Gaga’s "Born This Way" debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, selling an amazing 448k downloads.  This means the track has made its highest first week digital sales by a female artist in history. By debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, "Born This Way" makes history as the 1,000th song in a 52-year history and being the largest premiere-week for airplay.

Lady Gaga had a groundbreaking audience of 78.5 million listeners. "Born This Way" has also token over  Britney’s "Hold It Against Me" which debuted at #1 four weeks ago by selling 411k in digital sells and with 45 million listeners.

Meanwhile, "Born This Way" has been receiving negativity and controversy.  I don't think that Gaga would, literally go copy Madonna.  Yes, I do think that she took inspiration from Express Yourself, No I personally don't think that she's copying.

Katy Perry Premieres "E.T." Remix (Feat. Kanye West)

As everyone should know, "E.T." has been selected to be the fourth single off Katy Perry's platinum selling sophomore album "Teenage Dream".  The album has already spawn three #1 singles, so hopefully this will hit #1 on the charts.

Kanye West is on the track and it will be the official single version.  Like I said, he is not needed on the song, he doesn't really add anything to it.  Overall, the remix is ok, but I prefer the original.

A video for the single has already been shot by directer Floria Sigismondi and should be premiering soon.

The song is set to officially impact radio stations on March 1st.

Take a listen, do you like the new remix?

Video Premiere: Miranda Cosgrove - Dancing Crazy

Miranda Cosgrove has just released the music video for her new single "Dancing Crazy".  The video shows Miranda hanging out with some of her friends, as she sings:

"I like you and you like me/ We get together and we're happy."

The track is one of the tracks listed on her "High Maintenance EP", that is due out March 15th in the US.  The song was co-written by Avril Lavigne.

Features on the EP will include, "a behind-the-scenes sneak peek DVD of Miranda and her music, Miranda in the recording studio, at her album photo shoot, and rehearsing for her tour."

Lil Kim Official Mixtape Cover: Black Friday

Lil Kim's above official cover for her upcoming mixtape "Black Friday", has just arrived.  It seems like Kim took yet another diss at Nicki Minaj with the album cover.  The album cover is horrible. PERIOD

I listened to her new track "Pissin On Um" and the girl can't rap anymore. She has done great work in the past but now her raps are all disses towards Nicki.

Lil Kim really needs to stop putting all her focus on Nicki Minaj, because this is not helping rap career, this is just dragging it further into the ground.

What's your thoughts on the cover and this whole situation?
