The Weeknd inks deal with Universal Republic + preps for "Trilogy" album

Canadian breakout singer The Weeknd officially signed a record deal with Universal Republic via his label XO.

His first official album is titled "Trilogy" and will be released on November 13th. The album will feature mixed and mastered versions of popular songs from his critically acclaimed mixtapes "House of Balloons", "Thursday" and "Echoes of Silence".

Unreleased material will also be included like the first single "Wicked Games".
