Dawn Richard announces "Blackheart" album + Premieres new video "Blow"

With Danity Kane's final album "DK3" being released last month, former member Dawn Richard isn't wasting anytime returning to her solo career. The singer-songwriter has announced the follow-up to her 2012 debut "Goldenheart". She's planning to release the second album apart of a three album trilogy, her sophomore album "Blackheart" is scheduled to drop on January 15th, 2015. Dawn also premiered the first single and its music video from the project titled "Blow".

"With the help of my long time creative/business partner, Kyle Cabrol, I was able to create something we are proud of", Dawn told Rap-Up. "This project is very special to me. We set out to redefine the term 'independent' and really push the limits on what could be done. We are just two people but we act as a label that has an entire staff. Both of us are extremely excited to share this art with the hearts".

 "Blow" is backed by a tribal-inspired production mixed with Hip-Hop and Electronic. Out of all the former members of Danity Kane, I've always been drawn to Dawn's music and artistic vision. In the visual, Dawn shows off her choreography, while wearing various fashionable outfits and accessories that also includes gold teeth with fangs. I'm so ready for this album. In addition, A third and final installment titled "RedemptionHeart" in the future.
