Country-rock trio Lady Antebellum released the follow-up to last year's successful album album "Need You Now" which won five Grammy's including Song and Record of the year. The trio's third album Own The Night" has proving to be another success, debuting at 1 on Billboard Hot 100 and selling 347,000 copies in the first week.

"Own The Night" has good balance of country, rock, some pop, making it listenable. Once again Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley vocally work their magic. Check out the review after the jump.

We Owned The Night
"We Owned The Night" wasn't a strong second single in my opinion. It's a major step down from the first single "Just A Kiss". (2/5)

Just A Kiss
"Just A Kiss" was the first single from the album and became a huge hit. I currently live in Nashville, after it was first played on the radio, it seemed like it never left. The song also shot up the charts as well, hitting #1 on the US Country Songs and peaked at #7 on Billboard Hot 100. You can check out the video below. (5/5)

Dancin' Away With My Heart
This is guitar driven country ballad. The chorus is the best part of the song, kinda lost interest between them. In all it's a great track. (4/5)

Friday Night
Friday Night" is a country-rock song. I wouldn't play this on a Friday night if I wanted too. (2/5)

When You Were Mine
"When You Were Mine" has a mix of Taylor Swift and her country pop sound. Not into this one so much. (2/5)

Cold As Stone
"Cold As Stone" is different from the other songs. This is probably the less country sounding track. (3/5)

Singing Me Home
"Singing Me Home" is fun song, where you can let the top down on your car and blast. (4/5)

Wanted You More
Is anybody loving that funky guitar in the beginning because I'am. This one is about being frustrated with the love with your life, not getting enough of whatever it might be. I sure anyone can relate to this. (4.5/5)

As You Turn Away
"As You Turn Away" is a piano ballad featuring Scott as the main singer, for at least half way in. I love Scott's voice on this one. It's beautiful. (5/5)

Love I've Found You
The song starts with a nice instrumental opening. It's sounds very much like a classic country song. Their singing about the love that they've finally found. (4/5)

Somewhere Love Remains
"Somewhere Love Remains" is another break-up song. Its about a couple talking out their emotions and seeing that love still remains between them still them. (4/5)

Heart Of The World
The album closer "Heart of The world" is just average, definitely not single material because its two slow for radio. It's a song for someone alone and thinking about finding that special person. (3/5)

Verdict
"Own the Night" meet the expectations, but its not better than "Need You Now". A little over half of the album is about love and it talks about it in all kinds of ways. There are some really good songs on the album.

They is a lot more grown up, not to say the last album wasn't, but this was more about life and love mixed together. This was a satisfying album and I'm happy with overall. It's on iTunes now.

Overall Rating: (4/5)
