Taetiseo’s "Twinkle" charts on Billboard 200 + highest charting Korean album
Girls' Generation's sub-unit TaeTiSeo has become one of the highest charting Korean artist on The Billboard 200 album charts in America.
On this chart, TaeTiSeo's first mini-album "Twinkle" charted at #126. This is the highest achievement done by a Korean artist to date. Very impressive do to the fact that their wasn't any official promotions in the US. This is the second time a Korean language album that has debuted on the chart. Big Bang became the first to do it with their recent mini-album "Alive" place at #150 back in March.
SM Entertainment stated: "We were able to confirm the widespread popularity of the group from music fans all over the world through this achievement. Without any local promotions, the girls were able to rank the highest for a Korean artist in the Billboard's 200, as well as ranking first on the World Album Chart, and second on the Heatseekers Chart".
Additionally, the mini-album "Twinkle" has done well on other charts. It came in at #1 on the World Album, #2 on the Heatseeker, and #21 on the Independent Album charts. A huge congratulations to them, this just proves the Girls' Generation and K-Pop are becoming explosive worldwide.
