New Music: Aaliyah - Enough Said (Feat. Drake)
It's no secret Drake has a lot of love for Aaliyah. The Young Money rapper has openly expressed his love for her with a tattoo of the singer and he's sampled her music on his debut studio album "Thank Me Later". He has been hinting a possible collaboration with the late legendary singer on some new unreleased music.
Now his dream has come true, today a song titled "Enough Said" featuring him has been released. The track was produced by Drake's longtime collaborator Noah '40' Shebib. I can't express how great it feels to hear Aaliyah's voice again (besides listening to her old material). Her vocals sound haunting, but in a good way. The production fits really well with her voice, but the only thing that bothered me was drake's verse: "Selling under 150, you ni**as gotta be kidding".
Drake will reportedly be executive producing the upcoming posthumous Aaliyah album. I don't mind him lending a helping hand in the project, but it wouldn't be right if Timberland and Missy wasn't apart of it. Back in April Timberland had an interview on The Breakfast Club to complain about it, he said: "I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and Missy", he continued. "The proper way for him to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. The best decision, what the fans would want to see is all three of us. It can't be something to make money off of 'cause I think it's wrong to make money off the dead".
Listen to the track, after the jump.
