Katy Perry returns with new album "Prism" in October + Reveals "Roar" teasers

If you haven't heard already, Katy Perry is making her musical return and in a big way.

On (Monday) July 29th, the 28-year-old singer-songwriter announced the release date and album title of her new album on a giant gold truck to drive around Los Angeles. Katy's third studio album is called "Prism" and will officially hit stores and digital retailers on October 22nd. A couple of days later, it was confirmed that "Roar" was the first official single through a short teaser video uploaded on her Vevo channel.

The first video teaser features Katy in a black room setting her blue wig from the 'Teenage Dream' era on fire. The second shows a funeral setting, which indicates that the 'Teenage Dream' era is dead and never coming back.
