LORDE releases "Tennis Court" with B-Side "Swingin' Party"

Back in June, LORDE released her second single "Tennis Court". After gaining huge success in her home country, the singer branching out into the international market where she plans to continue promoting her music. Her first EP "The Love Club" included her #1 hit (New Zealand) "Royals" which also peaked at #3 on Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the US Alternative chart.

5/5

"Tennis Court" was written both by the singer and Joel Little, who also produced the song. This is a downtempo 80's-influenced Indietronica (Indie electronic) track showcasing LORDE's signature vocal styling, over these deep and breath taking lyrics. The second track "Swingin' Party" is a amazing cover by The Replacements'. Didn't even know it was a cover of someone else's song. It's that good, I thought it was an original piece by her. Can't help to compare her style and lyrics to the likes of Lana Del Rey and Charli XCX. But of course she isn't those artists and never will be which is a great thing, because LORDE is her own artist.

The 16-year old New Zealand singer-songwriter has also revealed the music video for "Tennis Court". In the visual, she looks quite creepy and intimidating. She's staring into the camera with the song playing in the background, occasionally LORDE smiles and also opens her mouth to say the word "Yeah" during the song.

Her debut album "Pure Heroine" will be released on September 30th.
