Nick Jonas signs with Island Records + Premieres new single "Chains"

After the Jonas Brothers disbanded, the youngest brother of the group Nick Jonas has decided to continue his solo music career with the debut of a new single titled "Chains". The singer has signed a record deal with Island Records. His upcoming solo debut album will be released later this year.

"Everyone has their own chains, in life and in love, that bind them and this song embodies that feeling", Nick told Complex. "I'm excited to be back to share this song with the world".

Produced by Jason Evigan (Jason Derulo, Fifth Harmony), "Chains" is a laid-back urban-pop hip-hop track. Very different sound we're hearing from him and I'm loving every bit of it. Nick can definitely sing, but I feel the vocals could have been a little stronger. Theirs some heavy bass production, I would've like to hear singing on the same level.
