MoXiiE premieres dark-rocky infused single "Anyway"
Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter MoXiiE first made her unique sound known in 2011 with the EP "Jungle Pop", it was Pop music with electronica, dance and Tribal house influences. It also featured fan-favorite "Dancing In Dirt". The next year, she released her debut album "Savage" that full of in-your-face pop anthems. Just last year she dropped her second EP "ScandiRara", now MoXiiE is back with her first new single of 2014 titled "Anyway".
"Anyway" is a irresistible drum/synths heavy tune, that's fresh and infectious. The production maintains the her Jungle Pop genre, but this has slightly new sound that doesn't disappoint. The music video was directed Chris Vongsawat. Like the song, the visual is dark and was filmed in an abandon building setting. She always manages to show some growth in her music over the years. MoXiiE's cultural influences in her music and her feisty image should attract more listeners. I still wondering why she's not a mainstream artist yet, she has the full package.
MoXiiE gave some insight to Jon ALi about the music video saying:
"The video is about betrayal, loss of innocence and being forever changed by heartbreak", MoXiiE told Jon ALi. "There's an overall sense of acceptance of one's fate for me. Knowing things are sometimes bleak but moving forward anyway".
You can purchase the single on iTunes now. Check out the video below.
