Dua Lipa is a 19 years-old singer-songwriter from London. She started releasing covers songs on her official Youtube channel. Eventually, she got noticed by Lana Del Rey's management and signed with them. She revealed her debut single titled "New Love".

But at the time I was writing this song it was about finding my place in an industry that often seems to neither want nor need you. This is a song about facing the fear of losing the only thing that matters to you".
