Alexandra Stan returns with mid-tempo ballad "Thanks For Leaving"
Romanian singer Alexandra Stan has made a name for herself around the world with her addictive dance music. It all started in 2011, when she burst out on the scene with "Mr. Saxobeat". Not only did it take over her home country, it became a global hit single and made her known on the international scene. In the same year, she went on to release her debut album "Saxobeats", that also spawned two other singles "Get Back (ASAP)" and "1.000.000". In 2012, she released two other songs "Lemonade" and "Cliche (Hush Hush)". The next year her and ex-manager Marcel Proden were involved in a scandal, Alexandra came to the decision to take a break from everything. Now she's back with a new single titled "Thanks For Leaving".
Instead of coming back with a uptempo dance-pop track first, she decided to give something more vulnerable which is "Thanks for Leaving". It shows a more real emotional side and most importantly you hear Alexandra's true vocal abilities come through. Nice introduction back from her break. Her upcoming sophomore album is scheduled to be released later this year, hopefully she'll have another great year similar to the "Mr. Saxobeat" era.
