Amelia Lily signs new record deal + Debuts new single "California"
After numerous delays, X-Factor UK contestant Amelia Lily finally returned with a new single titled "California". Other tracks released before were her debut single "You Bring Me Joy", "Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got)", and "Party Over". The unveiling of the song, comes after her getting dropped from Sony Music / Xenomania. She signed a new record deal with East West Records, which is an imprint of Warner Music and has begun work on her debut album.
"Life has never been so exciting – I've been busy in the studio writing and recording songs for my upcoming debut album and 'California' is where we start", said Amelia. "I'm so proud to be releasing this music. I have put my heart and soul into writing them. Expect a few surprises along the way though – it's going to be fun!""California" was co-written by Lily with Tim Woodcock (John Newman, The Vamps, The Wanted). Its a very Disneyish, this sounds like a song for a singer on that channel. Not necessarily the best thing she's released. Hopefully she puts out better within the next month or two.
The single will be released in the UK on August 24th.
