Pixie Lott selects "Lay Me Down" as next single

With her first single "Nasty" only debuting at #9 on the UK Singles Chart, British singer-songwriter Pixie Lott is moving on to the follow-up, which is titled "Lay Me Down". The track serves as the second official single from her upcoming self-titled third studio album, it's currently scheduled to be released on August 4th in the UK via Mercury Records.

"Lay Me Down" is an upbeat blues-pop song with soul, it has a powerful and unforgettable hook. You could say its similar to her debut single "Mama Do", but more grown-up. In some way I feel like this era has been a mess so far, even with the music being decent. The visuals for the tracks haven't been great, more could be done that department. The sales aren't good and not where they should be. What the hell Mercury Records, where is the promotion? The single will be released in the UK on July 27th. Will it go #1? Absolutely not. Good song, but its still an album filler.

In the music video, Pixie explores the Mediterranean surroundings. She's also enjoys the glamorous hotel, the pool, and the yacht where she uses it to explore the sea.
