Kara DioGuardi returning to TV with new reality show "Platinum Hit"

Former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi will return to our TV screens with a new songwriting reality show "Platinum Hit", that will premiere May 30th.

The show is searching for the music industry next big songwriter. Their will be 12 aspiring musicians competing in themed songwriting challenges, that will judged by Kara and RCA/Jive A&R VP Keith Naftaly.

Singer/songwriter Jewel will host the show and provide feedback for the contestants. Special guests judges that has already been confirmed are Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, Jermaine Dupri, Donna Summer, Taio Cruz, and Ryan Tedder.

The winner will take home $100,000, a publishing deal with Sony, a record deal with RCA/Jive.

Platinum Hit debuts on May 30 on the Bravo network at 10 p.m.
