Melanie C will release her long awaited fifth solo album "The Sea" September 4th. She teamed up with her main collaborators Adam Argyle and Peter John-Vettesebut and some new faces like James Walsh, Cutfather and Martin Brammer.

Two singles has been released so far, "Rock Me" and a dance/pop "Think About It", which will be released on iTunes worldwide on the same day as the album. "Think About It" is very catchy, the sound falls in the lane of Kelly Clarkson or Avril Lavigne. Their are previews of 10 tracks below, you can check them out. Not that many up-tempos, but it still sounds promising.

Melanie describes the album below:

"I'm very excited about the record because, it's quite diverse in styles. There’s still very much a pop element, and I've got some lovely ballads, some rock inspired tracks, some more dancey stuff, some acoustic stuff, and production wise there are some very atmospheric moments. So I really think it’s going to be a diverse and stronger album. It's funny because I suppose my first studio album Northern Star is probably the most similar to this record in that it does have loads of different styles although it is fundamentally a pop record…"

"The Sea" will be released in the UK & Ireland digitally on September 4th and CD September 5th. In Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia and Czech Republic 'The Sea' is released on CD and digitally September 2nd. In Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Poland the album will be available on CD and digitally from September 5th. The album will be available worldwide on iTunes and other digital retailers on September 4th.
