Breaking News: Whitney Houston dies at the age of 48

On of the greatest singers of our time Whitney Houston has dead, it was confirmed by her publicist, Kristen Foster who gave the official news to the Associated Press. Their's not a lot of details revealed about how she died, but it's possibly due to her years of drug addiction, personal issues, and etc that could have contributed to her untimely death.

Whitney has achieved numerous success during her two decades in the industry as a whole. She received 2 Emmy Awards, 6 Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards and others making it a total of 415 awards that she's received during her career. She is one of the world's best-selling music artists of all time, selling 170 million albums and singles. Besides making music, she modeled and acted as well. The "Bodyguard" and the soundtrack to the movie has to be the most memorable for me. Just because I can watch and listen to it till this day and not get tired of it. I'm sure a lot of you can agree to that.

When I found out about her death, I was in complete shock because it came out of nowhere. I'm kinda don't know what to really say. Their singers out their who get compared to Whitney, but they can't even compete with what she had: powerful voice, charisma, stage presences and just the over talent. She'll always and forever be a ICON. My thoughts and prayers go out to Whitney's family, friends, and loved ones through this difficult time. She will be greatly missed. RIP

Below check out some of Whitney's best performances: "I Will Always Love You" at the Grammy's in 1994, "When You Believe" featuring Mariah Carey at the Oscars in 1999, and one of the top renditions of the National Anthem in 1991.
