Big Hit Entertainment / Source Music’s new girl group GLAM to debut in July

Producer Bang Shi Hyuk will be debuting his first girl group named GLAM (Girls Be Ambitious). Big Hit Entertainment has announced that they'll be making their debut on July 16th. Big Hit Entertainment houses 2AM and Source Music has 8Eight and Kan Mi Yeon. For the past three years, the both companies have been working together to create the group.

A representative revealed: "GLAM is comprised of five members talented in singing, dancing, and playing instruments. The name means 'Girls Be Ambitious', and we hope that they'll follow their name to produce ambitious, bright music".

Bang Shi Hyuk stated: "I actually feel sorry calling GLAM a girl group because they have genuine musical talent and passion. As opposed to producing them, it's more accurate to say that I helped them realize their hidden musical potential and helped them foster that as a partner by their side".

GLAM will be making their debut through an SBS-MTV reality music drama "GLAM" in early June before the release of their debut album the next month.
