New Music: Betty Who - The Movement [EP]

After receiving blog buzz when her debut single "Somebody Loves You" late last year, Australia native Betty Who released her first EP "The Movement" through Billboard.com

The EP contains some good songwriting and instrumental work, from her friend 22-year-old electro-pop producer Peter Thomas (Neon Hitch) of Pulse Recording.

Betty is originally from Australia, but came to the U.S. in high school, she tells Billboard:

"In high school, she headed to the States to play classical cello at Interlochen Center for the Arts. "I never fit in within the classical world", Who tells Billboard. "I didn't have enough discipline with cello -- I wanted to play because I loved it, not because I had to".

The lead single from Betty's "The Movement" EP titled "Somebody Loves You", the 80's pop track was written in the honor the late Whitney Houston (whose influence is on the song).  The other three songs on the EP are also good material. The track is about being in love with living the fabulous life style of the rich and famous.

You can download the EP for free via her soundcloud.
