New Music: Dawn Richard - Valkyrie (Feat. Deonte of MDMA)

As Danity Kane reunites for their upcoming single "Rage" and third album, Dawn Richard is still prepping for the release of her sophomore album "Blackheart" next year. This album is the second part to her three-part album series, with the first part "Goldenheart" being released back in January. The singer allowed her fans to pick a new single between "Judith" and "Valkyrie" through an online contest, but ended releasing both of the tracks.

"Valkyrie" was written by Dawn and produced by Noisecastle III, featuring Deonte of MDMA. The mid-tempo track has a dance vibe, which is slightly opposite from what I heard on "Judith".

"I wanted a record that was packed with confidence, a sort of cocky reminder that you will remember my mark", Dawn explained.
