Required Attention: Tinashe - Black Water [Mixtape]

Los Angeles-based Kentucky born R&B alternative singer-songwriter Tinashe released her highly-anticipated new mixtape titled "Black Water". This was her first proper release of the year 2013 following her collaboration with Jacques Greene on "Painted Faces" and her 2012 mixtapes' "In Case We Die" and "Reverie". Along with this new collection of music, the 20-year-old revealed a short introduction video of the dark seductive electronic track "Vulnerable" featuring Hustle Gang / GOOD Music rapper Travi$ Scott.

Featuring the leading single "Vulnerable", the mixtape has 13-tracks with production from Dev Hynes, Boi-1da, Best Kept Secret, Legacy, Illmind, Ryan Hemsworth, Tinashe herself and more. Dev Hynes produced the track "Fugitive", he's know for his work with Solange and MKS. Also on the mixtape is the Ryan Hemsworth-produced track "1 For Me". The J. Oliver-produced "Just A Taste" is pure 90's nostalgia and has a Tony! Toni! Toné! sample, which makes it even more intriguing. "Black Water" is another awesome mixtape that features sensual vocals and entrancing laid-back downtempo beats. It should capture anyone's attention, especially if your into this type of music like The Weeknd. Speaking of The Weeknd, she pretty much the female equivalent of him. The sultry vibe, the smoothness she brings with her voice, her fantastic songwriting ability and producing could bring something new to the game.

Over the past year, Tinashe has been working non-stop on her upcoming debut album, which is scheduled to be released sometime in 2014 via RCA Records / Sony. In the meantime, listen to the music above and check out what your going to potential get on her new album.
