Nicole Scherzinger reveals underwhelming single "On The Rocks"

After releasing the lackluster single "Your Love", Nicole Scherzinger has revealed the follow-up single and music video for the ballad "On The Rocks". The single will be on her upcoming sophomore album, which is scheduled to be released in the UK later this year via RCA. She recently signed a contract with Epic Records, so they can (if it happens) distribute the album in the US.

Produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, "On The Rocks" isn't single material at all. It's more of a filler than a soaring ballad compared to Pussycat Dolls song "I Hate This Part. If it wasn't on the level of that or close to it, then why officially release the song as a single. Doesn't make since whatsoever. I've listened to the song a few times and wouldn't even classify it as a grower in my personal opinion. The chorus has a little bit steam, but the verses has zero ecxcitement. Your singing about a failed relationship, I want to hear and feel the emotion. Very poor choice for a second single, especially since "Your Love" wasn't a great song either and didn't perform well on the UK Single Charts.

As for the music video, I don't really have nothing to say about.

The single will be released in the UK on October 12th.
