M.O combine R&B with UK garage on "Dancing On My Own"
British trio M.O has been releasing singles since 2012, but their newest one "Dance On My Own" has to the best (besides "On Ya") and most radio-friendly to date.
"Dancing On My Own" is addicting up-tempo 90's R&B dance track, that utilizes UK garage beats and is very reminiscent of Mis-Teeq. The also samples "Flowers" by Sweet Female Attitude, which was a hit single in the UK over a decade ago. It's an empowering song for the ladies, with beautiful harmonies and soulful vocals. Lyrically and musically, M.O are going down a similar path as Destiny's Child or TLC from the 90's and early 2000's. Of course they put their own modern day twist on it. Back in the day, them and a several other girl groups were constantly put out uplifting/man-bashing songs with that unique throwback sound. Not too many groups are doing that today. I say to friends all the time I miss music from that era.
Currently theirs not release date for the ladies debut album, but we expect more new music from them soon. They recently signed a major publishing deal with Rondor / Universal in America. Hopefully more great opportunities are coming their way.
