The Veronicas returns with power ballad single "You Ruin Me"
Australian pop duo The Veronicas have returned to the music scene, after being on hiatus for the last seven years. Early this year, they singed a new record deal with Sony Music Entertainment and announced their upcoming third album. Along with the news of another album, the sibling duo released the first official single from the project is titled "You Ruin Me".
Written along with production team DNA Songs (Jessica Mauboy, Samantha Jade), "You Ruin Me" focuses more their vocals talents and how much The Veronicas have grown while they've been away. The song has an slow melody with lyrics expressing heartbreak. It was a great vocal performance, they gave a lot of emotion and anyone could relate to it. The music video was dramatic, its inspired by Darren Aronofsky's 2010 feature film 'Black Swan'. It shows jealous ballerinas and their deceiving dance instructor, who gets whats coming to them in the end.
The song is different from their material in past, it focuses vocals and shows matured image. Its interesting to see what else they've got that's new and creative from the new album.
You can purchase the single on iTunes now.
