Buy Brave Girls - "Re-Issue" [EP] - HERE

On February 22nd, Brave Girls made a comeback with their 2nd mini-album "Re:Issue" along with the music video to their title track "Nowadays You". In 2011 the group debuted with their R&B track "Do You Know" and then can out with an reggae track "Why So Often". For their 2012 comeback, they have returned with a similar but trendy sound.

The title track "Nowadays You" was produced by none other than the creator of group and hit producer Brave Brothers of Brave Entertainment. He also produced the third track "말 없이 (Without Words)"  an emotional R&B song. "Re:Issue" contains a total of 5 new tracks, with 3 being an intro, remix and instrumental version of "Nowadays You". Check out my review, after the jump.

Vocal Delivery: (4.5/5)
Lyrical Content: (4/5)
Production: (5/5)

B'Girls Are Back
Brave Girls are declaring that their back. "We Back / B'Girls Are Back", which is done by the rapper Hyeran. Love the intro, wish it could've been a full song. (4/5)

요즘 너(Nowadays You)
I don't necessarily know what people got against the music that the Brave Brothers create. Not everything they produce I like, but I will say 85% of the time I like what they make. If you don't already Brave Brothers are the creator of Brave Girls. "Nowadays You" uptempo electric song that features drum beat and guitar riffs, mixed R&B/Soul. The peak of the song, features back-up singers, which gave it a nice element. That is what really gave it that soulful sound. (5/5)

말 없이(Without Words)
"말 없이 (Without Words)" is a ballad with a softer sounding beat. The harmonies are better than any other song they've done so far. (4/5)

요즘 너(Nowadays You) (Remix Ver.)
This is the remix for the title track for "Nowadays You". Compared to the original, a lot of things have been taken away. I guessing that was rain drops falling in the background, right along with piano playing. (4.5)

Verdict
I have a feeling that Brave Girls are still at that stage where their trying to figure out whats the right concept and or musical fits the group. Their first mini-album "Back to Da Future" was a reggae inspired and now have something total different. The album is titled "Re:Issue" and could symbolize being reintroduce to the industry who knows. Anyway I like album, but what really gets on my nerves (RaNia did this as well) is the lack of music being put on an album. Realistically we got only two new tracks, minus the intro and remix. I just don't understand it.

Overall Rating: (4.8/5)
