Pledis Entertainment to debut new girl group Hello Venus

Pledis Entertainment has revealed a picture of their new girl group Hello Venus on their official website. Hello Venus is the second rookie group from Pledis this year, after its boy rookie group NU'EST who debuted in March. The group is being named After School's sister group.

The six members consist of Yoo Ara, Nara, Alice, Ra Im, Yoonjo, Yooyoung. Their name is supposed to have the duel meaning of a friendly "hello" and a mystical "Venus". Members Yoo Ara and Yoonjo has already gained a fanbase since their trainee days. The youngest member is Yoo Young, who was born in 1995.

Pledis Entertainment stated: "Hello Venus will depart from the classical image as the female god Venus, as they will greet the public with their friendly appearance as the new 21st century Venus".

Hello Venus will make thier official debut in May. They have filmed the music video for their debut title track and participating in photoshoots.
