Nicole Scherzinger attempt solo comeback with "Your Love"
Nicole Scherzinger has left the The X Factor UK in order to shift her focus back to making music. The singer has reportedly finished her long term contract with Interscope Records and went on to sign a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment/RCA Records. Just recently she revealed her single titled "Your Love", the premiere of music video came not too long after that.
Produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, "Your Love" is a urban-pop track that has a 90's vibe. The highly repetitive, but quite catchy part which is the hook is one of the best parts "ooh, ooh do do do-do do, ooh". The production seems to toned down, especially during the verses. You get a tambourine on the chorus, the instrumental though the whole song is pretty much plain. Yes, theirs a break down, but it seems out of place aka It doesn't fit at all. Overall, I don't think this is single material to lead an album, more like a album filler. If she wanted to get another shampoo commercial with this, I could see it happening. The single doesn't sound like any other song out right now, that's a good thing and a bad thing. I don't see it doing well here in the US (not surprising), but I'm a 100% sure it will be a top 10 hit maybe even #1.Since departing The Pussycat Dolls, Nicole's solo work hasn't not done anything for me. It been more than a miss than a hit. I not going to complain too much, because "Your Love" is better than anything else she's released recently. The track serves as first single from her second solo album, which is scheduled to hit stores later this year.
The single will be released in the UK on July 13th.
The music video is basically features the singer on a beach enjoying the sand and whole atmosphere in general.
