Introducing: Neon Jungle

When Girls Aloud disbanded last year, I didn't have a girl group to listen to really. The Saturdays are a hit and miss (the last couple of years, they've been more of a huge miss). Just recently I totally got on Little Mix's bandwagon, after their banging ass single and album "Salute". Now I'm hoping to add another to my list and that group is Neon Jungle. They're made up of four members: Shereen, Asami, Jess and Amira, the girls released their debut single "Trouble".

"Something fresh, something new, something real, something now that everyone can connect to. We're not into a particular genre of music, we don't want to be soul, we don't want to be R&B or hip-hop, we want to be a new flavour". "We want for people to be able to listen to our music and be able to connect with it, not in a corny way, like "we want to 'connect' with people" but we do want people to connect with what we’re saying. Simple things like that common experience that let’s them know we're going through the same things as well, and they're not alone" Jess says during their interview with The Hunger TV.
Produced by Cocknbullkid and Fear of Tigers, "Trouble" is a heavy electro-pop track. The vocal performance is feisty and full of attitude, with a touch of soft vocal harmonies. It has some simple elements, but the hook is very catchy hook: "I don"t look for trouble, oh no. Trouble looks for me..". One thing I've notice, was the similarities in the lyrical content to Icona Pop's "I Love It". The production was also deemed similar to Australian duo NERVO's EDM music. Beside all that, its a good debut song.

The foursome has finished recording their debut album "Welcome To The Jungle", which is currently scheduled to be released on July 28th in the UK via RCA Records.
