Pixie Lott releases sampler of self-titled album

With no real hit single, Mercury Records are still looking to release Pixie Lott's upcoming self-titled third album in the UK on August 4th. She revealed a sampler featuring snippets of all tracks.

The album has spawned two singles being "Nasty" which peaked at #9 on the UK Singles Chart and "Lay Me Down" will be released July 28th. The recording process began in 2012 and she stated that it was going to have a Motown influenced sound. Based on the snippets, some does have Motown-ish vibe, but what I heard didn't excite me. Their's no hype behind this project what so ever and the official singles released weren't enough to generate interest. I mean her second album "Young Foolish Happy" had way better material (It was a great album actually), but wasn't commercially successful and didn't no why. This I'm expecting to flop, maybe album four would better. When it comes out, I'll still take a listen to it.
