New Music: BROODS - Mother & Father

After releasing their self-titled debut EP earlier this year, New Zealand duo BROODS are gearing up to release their upcoming debut album "Evergreen". The LP is currently due to hit stores and digital retailers in September via Capitol Records. Coming off the singles "Bridges" and "Never Gonna Change", now siblings Georgia Nott and Caleb Nott are back with their new international single "Mother & Father".


Produced by Lorde's main-collaborator Joel Little, "Mother & Father" is a smooth, dreamy, electro-pop, heartfelt ballad. It features a drum-heavy production and ethereal vocals by Georgia. The song is about leaving your mother and father behind (not to far behind of course), to learn and experience life. Its a reminder on how important your parents are in your life. The similarities to Lorde are there, but not to where I dislike the song all together. Still looking forward to hear "Evergreen".
