Ashley Roberts deliver new single "Clockwork" – Listen Now

Former Pussycat Dolls Ashley Roberts premiered her new single "Clockwork". The blonde bombshell started a solo music career with her first proper single releases, 2012's "All In a Day" and pop ballad "Yesterday". She's been quiet up until this point and it was all because Ashley was writing and recording her long-awaited solo debut album.

"Clockwork" is a mid tempo pop track written by Ashley and produced by Red Triangle. The lyrics portray a relationship at a point where it had its good passionate explosive moments and it eventually goes away. She wants that back, but knows the two are done. The song will appear on the album as it does serve as the first official single. If you've heard the others tracks, you'll definitely hear an improvement in her vocal abilities. The chorus is where you hear her voice really soaring in the heavens. Very solid performance overall. This could easitly be a Top 10 or Top 20 and from what I've read, it only reached #175 on the UK Singles Charts. Yes, disappointing. A record label, an artist team, and the artist themselves has to make the effort in promoting what you're trying to sell. In this case, I don't think that was done for this release.

The accompanying music video showcases a once happy relationship go downhill. It's simple, but has an dramatic effect. Nice.
