Have you heard SEREBRO summer track "MI MI MI" – Listen Now

Around this time last year, Russian dance-pop trio SEREBRO followed-up their successful 2012 hit "Mama Lover" with a summer single "Mi Mi Mi". If you look at the artwork above, this particular track was released when Anastasia and Elena we're still in the group.

"Mi Mi Mi" was the group's third single of 2013 and quickly climbed the charts around the world, especially in Europe. Similar to K-Pop, this isn't a song to listen because you can or can't understand what the lyrics are, it's simply because the music is fun. Its a infectious dance track with a repetitive catchy chorus, oh and the song is sung completely in English: "Mimimimimimimi" / "Mimimi only mimi" / "Mimimimimimimi" / "Mimimi Sexy me". From time to time, they do release music solely in English, I'm assuming to cater to their international audience. Some of the lyrically content maybe raunchy, but what do you expect, they are know for their good music and overly sexual image. Upon its release it literally went viral, its been used for promotional entertainment purposes. I was shocked to hear a snippet of the song on one episode of EXO's variety show 'Showtime'. Not long after that it charted on the Melon Top 100 Chart at #25 in Korea (it probably has gone higher).

The girl group was created by their longtime music producer Maxim Fadeev. SEREBRO has been together since 2007, seven years to be exact and its a bit surprising that their gaining international attention. I think the height of their popularity all started with "Mama Lover". Hopefully their's more English music to come, if not that's OK. Either way I'll be happy just to get more new music.
