Little Mix does serious slaying with "Salute"
"Ladies all across the world" / "Listen up, we're looking for recruits". I think you should seriously consider being recruited to become one of Little Mix's fans called Mixers. Trust me you won't regret it, because what you'll about to see in music video for "Salute" will leave you super impressed. The track serves as the third official single from their sophomore album of the same title, which is available in stores and digital retailers worldwide via Syco / Columbia Records.
The TMS-produced track is the ultimate female anthem. With its urban and hip-hop influenced sound, theirs striking similarities to legendary girl group Destiny's Child. The harmonies were on point, didn't expect anything less than excellence when it came to these girls vocals. Just by glancing at the single title, of course I'll contain military references including: the siren in the beginning, chanting of "attention", "salute" and even the chorus, as well as the intense military-inspired production. "Salute" is upbeat, catchy as hell and has a empowering message for woman. The lyrics express how woman should come together and not fight each other. The single definitely gets an A++ for me, its literally one of my favorite songs to come out this year.
You can purchase their second album "Salute" on iTunes now.
As for the music video, Perrie, Jesy, Jade and Leigh-Anne performed some kick ass choreography with male dancers at a construction site. The visual captures what the song is about. I honestly have re-watched this dozens of time and will continue to.
