Florrie release latest EP "Sirens"
British singer/songwriter/drummer Florrie released her fourth EP "Sirens". She released her first EP "Introduction" in 2010, followed by "Experiments" in 2011, and in 2012 came "Late". This recent EP will be the last before she releases her highly-anticipated debut album, which is scheduled to hit stores and digital retailers later this year.
The EP will consist of 3 original tracks plus 2 remixes. A remix of "Seashells" by Preditah and another for "Little White Lies" by Shadow Child. "Sirens" has turned out to be one of Florrie's best EP's to date. The music was produced by her longtime collaborator Xenomania and it serves up some real synth-pop goodness. The first track "Seashells" is insanely catchy with its middle-eastern vibes. Theirs also a well-known tongue-twister written in there, something you'll remember from your childhood. The electro driven "Free Falling" another catchy track, its a crossover from pop and dance. If your a Girls Aloud fan, this should be you'll fall in love with. The production and lyrically content gives of with real GA vibes, think "Out of Control" album track "Turn To Stone". As you probably already know Xenomania created almost 100% of Girls Aloud discography, so you can hear slight influences. The throwback 90's synth infused sound "Wanna Control Myself" is reminiscent of Madonna from back in the day. It may seem dark, but it has heartfelt lyrics.
Each song has its own distinctive sound and not only does Florrie got a great voice, but she has a talent for songwriting. The music showcase what's to come in the near future, which is her upcoming debut album. She gives a lot of variety and like that very much.
