New Music: Tamia - Beautiful Surprise

R&B singer Tamia is making her long-awaited comeback to music with her new single "Beautiful Surprise". It's been at least six years since she released her last album "Between Friends". Now we have beautiful ballad that she co-wrote with Claude Kelly (Britney Spears, Toni Braxton) and was produced by Salaam Remi (Amy Winehouse, Jazmine Sullivan). "Beautiful Surprise" is like the rest of Tamia's songs in the past, simple and soft sounding. Not to say she isn't a REAL singer, because she is. The vocals were on point, it was a refreshing R&B song.

The singers fifth studio album which is also titled "Beautiful Surprise" will hit stores later in 2012 on her own record label, Plus 1 Music Group. She's supposedly working The Runners, Chuck Harmony, Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins and others. The music video for the first single has been recently shot with Tamia's husband, NBA player Grant Hill player, who is playing her love interest. Listen to the track, after the jump.
