Video Premiere: Katy Perry - Part of Me

Katy Perry premiered the music video for her latest single "Part Of Me". The track serves as the first single from the special edition of her double-platinum album "Teenage Dream" titled "Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection" set to hit stores on March 27th.

The video was shot in Oceanside, California by Ben Mor and it takes place at the USMC's Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. In the beginning you'll see Katy break-up with her boyfriend. Then she goes into a convenience store and notices a sign on a board that reads, "All Women are Equal, Then Some Become Marines". After that Katy goes into a public bathroom, cut off her hair, and then decides to join the Marines. The rest of it contains various scenes of her training with the Marines.

I wasn't expecting this type of concept for the song, but I did like it. Katy tweeted: "Thank u to everyone for the love & support on the video, I have SO MUCH respect for anyone serving any role in the service after this shoot!". The single is available to purchase on iTunes now. Check out the video, after the jump.
