One year after releasing her album "Loud", no surprise Rihanna dropped her sixth studio album "Talk That Talk" in November 2011. RiRi is amongst some of the hardest working entertainers in the music business today. She has sixth successful albums and scored eleven #1 singles on The Billboard Hot 100 charts. Over the years she has improved in her vocal performances, because we all know she doesn't sound too good when singing live.

"Talk That Talk" features production from Chase & Status, Stargate, The-Dream, No I.D. and more. It has two featured guest like Calvin Harris ("We Found Love") and Jay-Z on the title track ("Talk That Talk") The album doesn't disappoint, but its not as good "Loud". Check out my review, after the jump.

Vocal Delivery: (4.9/5)
Lyrical Content: (4.5/5)
Production: (4.7/5)

You Da One
The opener is the albums second single to date and has a similar style to "Man Down", which was featured on her last album "Loud". Its a midtempo Caribbean flavor track mixed with some dubstep. The lyrics are easy to sing-along too. (4/5)

Where Have You Been
Thank God RiRi shot a music video for this track, because it deserves a single treatment. The fast pace drums and synthesizers makes you anticipate whats to come next. The beat is very powerful and is another nightclub hit. The Dr. Luke produced track is the album's "Don't Stop The Music". (5/5)

We Found Love (Feat. Calvin Harris)
"We Found Love" ended up being her 11th #1 single. It achieved worldwide success, taking the #1 spot in several countries. Produced by Calvin Harris, the lead single for the album is another upbeat dance song. Its very undeniable, everything thing from Rihanna's voice to the great beat. (5/5)

Talk That Talk Feat. Jay-Z
The title track features Jay-Z and is nowhere near good as the "Umbrella" collaboration. The track contains samples from the Notorious B.I.G's "I Got A Story To Tell". When I go back a listen to the album, I automatically skip this. (2/5)

Cockiness (Love It)
Produced by Bangladesh, Rihanna gets even more naughty on this track than she did on "S&M". The lyrics are very dirty, which I loved. "Suck my cockiness / lick my persuasion". (5/5)

Birthday Cake
"Birthday Cake" was another track with explicit lyrics. Its one of the best songs on the album and I was left wondering why the hell is it only a 1:18 long. But of course not too long ago Rihanna got Chris Brown to feature on the song. Which made it ten times better than it was before. (5/5)

We All Want Love
"We All We Want Love" has a few genres, it guitar driven mixed with a folk sound. She has shown improvement in certain areas, when it comes to her vocals. (4/5)

Drunk on Love
The intro on "Drunk on Love" sounds like Te Amo, the track from "Rated R". Rihanna declares herself as "a hopeless romantic". Another good track, loving the beat and vocals. (5/5)

Roc Me Out
"Roc Me Out" is smooth and seductive. She sings: "Roc me out back and forth / Roc me out on the floor... I've been a bad girl daddy. Its a mix between her previous hits "Hard" and "Rude Boy". (5/5)

Watch 'n' Learn
This was grower for me, its an island-sounding track, that would be great to listen to on the way to the Caribbean. (4/5)

Farewell
Rihanna gets back with with Alex Da Kid, who's also produced "Love The Way You Lie" and a number of other hits. The deep and intimate ballad reflects on life. Nice closer. (3/5)

Deluxe Edition Songs:

Red Lipstick
Another bagging beat the quickly draws you in. The guitar sample in "Red Lipstick" is from Metallica’s hit single "Wherever I May Roam". I fucking love this song, simple as that. (5/5)

Do Ya Thing
A light bubbly R&B song that you can ride in your car to with the top down, while the sun is setting. Simple but sweet. (3.5/5)

Fool in Love
Rihanna's shows off her vocal range and gives it her all on this track. (4/5)

We Found Love (Extended Mix)
This is the longer version of the original track. (4.5/5)

Verdict
This is not in the same league as "Loud", but it is a good album. "Talk That Talk" is seductive, sassy, and is the most provocative album that we've gotten from Rihanna. I do think she needs to take some time off from making music for a while. Taking that time will allow her gain a lot of inspiration. If that happens, her next album would be attention grabbing.

Overall Rating (4.5/5)
