Whitney Houston stars in 'Sparkle' trailer

Whitney Houston will make her final on-screen performance in the upcoming movie Sparkle. The late legend plays Jordin Sparks mother in the remake of the 1976 Motown-era film, which co-stars Cee Lo Green and Derek Luke.

The musical opens in theaters on August 18th and also features new music from both Houston and Sparks. Check out the official trailer, after the jump.
