VV Brown returns with electro-goth single "Samson" + Reveals biblical-inspired visual

After scrapping her sophomore album "Lollipops & Politics" in 2011 and leaving Island Records the next year, VV Brown is back with a new sound and material. She's planning to release her new album "Samson & Delilah" independently through her own label YOY Records worldwide on October 6th (its out now in the UK). The singer-songwriter has worked with Dave Okumu (Jessie Ware, Amy Winehouse) to record a completely new album. Brown is coming off her hiatus with the first official single lifted for the project is titled "Samson".

"I set up my own record label so I could finally make the music I wanted to", Brown told The Telegraph. "In the future I want to sign other artists and let people grow with the label".

"Samson" displays a new musical direction. The track offers up a darker electronic sound, with explosive beats and haunting vocals. To a lot of her fans, it may come as drastic change. Co-produced by Mercury Award winner / The Invisible frontman Dave Okumu, it ventures off into electro-goth vibe, compared to VV"s 2009 hit single "Shark In The Water".

The song is also accompanied by a visual directed Met Film School graduate Jessica Hughes. She revealed part one of the artistic short film that was made very nicely in greyscale. It features the powerful biblical story of Samson and Delilah.
