JoJo released from Blackground Records + Signs with Atlantic Records
After a very long battle, JoJo has finally been released from her contract with Blackground Records.
The Los Angeles Times confirmed the great news. They've also revealed that the 23-year-old has signed a new deal with Atlantic Records, home to artists including Bruno Mars, Janelle Monáe, T.I., and many more. The singers fans campaigned non-stop for the label to free her from the recording contract. She filed a lawsuit demanding for a release from the them and it imprint Da Family Records.
Its about time this happened, they weren't doing anything to help JoJo get her music out. So don't understand what they refused to let her go at first. But anyway, we're finally going to get the release of her third album, I'm hoping it will be sometime this year.
In the meantime, check out JoJo's 2012 mixtape "Agápē".
