Listen to Grimes' "Go" f/ Blood Diamonds + Reveals video trailer

Back in June, Claire Elise Boucher — a.k.a.Grimes finally returned back to the music spotlight with brand new single titled "Go". In 2012, she created major buzz on the indie scene with her third album critically acclaimed "Visions". That particular project was also labeled as Grimes international breakout album. Now we have the first track lifted from her highly-anticipated new album, which set to be released later this year or early 2015.

"It's our summer jam so we figured we should put it out cuz I am very bored of waiting to finish my album b4 releasing new music haha", the Canadian songstress said in a press release.
"Go" was originally written for fellow Roc Nation-managed artist Rihanna. It got sent to her team to be included on RiRi's upcoming eighth album and was ultimately rejected. The song features Los Angeles-based producer Blood Diamonds and it exclusively premiered on BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe. It was one of three new tracks that she debuted during the Governors Ball in the same month. When it was first revealed on Grimes' soundcloud page, the track was available for free download. Since then, the single is now on iTunes for purchase. The track is slow and has a more bass-heavy production, its a sultry trap-pop masterpiece. I'm glad Rihanna didn't take the song, because I don't think she would've been able to pull off the type of vocals needed for "Go". Its slightly different from Grimes' previous material heard on the "Visions", I loving the new sound.
