Cassie releases long awaited single "King of Hearts"

Cassie self-titled debut was released in 2006 and became a success. Everything she put after she put out after that was a flop (Official Girl, Must Be Love), it seemed like she vanished from the music industry. Fast forward to now, she has made her return to hopefully released her long delayed sophomore album. The Bad Boy signee premiered the lead single "King of Heart", which was produced by J2.

Cassie described her new sound as "A cool blend of pop, hip-hop, and ska." She added "It's urban Gwen Stefani meets Aaliyah. Not a big fan of Cassie's singing voice, but "King of Heart" is a good electro-dance number. "You are the prince of charm, seduction is your art / You'll never play my love / You're just my king of hearts"

Does the song stand a chance on the Billboard Hot 100? I doubt it. I have yet to see an promotional campaign for it. Check out the song, after the jump.
