Namie Amuro releases 11th album "FEEL" + Listen to her club anthem "Alive"
Namie Amuro has lite up the music scene this summer with her new album "FEEL".
This is the follow-up to album "Uncontrolled", which was released nearly one year ago. "FEEL" a total of 248,000 copies within the first week, making this is her 6th consecutive #1 album since the release of "PLAY" in 2007. It also turned out that this was the best first week sales by solo artist this year, that title was previously held by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's second album "Nanda Collection" back in June. Namie's album is currently and officially the best selling album by a solo artist this year.
The music from the album ranges from piano and string ballads to powerful dance tracks. Other than the new tracks, it features songs like "Big Boys Cry", "Hands On Me" (PV was shot in Los Angles, California), "Contrail" the theme song for TBS' 'The Flying Public Relations Office' (this PV was also shot in California), and ‘Can You Feel This Love’, which is the theme song for Mezamashi TV.
I have listened to the album and its nothing but flawless. Some of my favorite tracks are "Hands On Me", "Big Boys Cry", "Heaven" and more. The one that stood out the most was the track "Alive".
Listen to the track below.
"Alive" is the definition for what a club song should sound like. Sometimes when Namie sings in English is a bit broken up, but in this you can hear her clearly. Rumors has been floating around saying this could possibly serve as the first international single, if that's true I'm all for it. "Hands On Me" could also be a perfect fit as well.
As much as it sucks, "FEEL" is currently not on US iTunes, but you can purchase the album through Yesasia.
