New Music: Baiyu - Mourning Hangover

In the beginning of 2013, Asian singer-songwriter Baiyu started releasing a new track every month. For that first month (January) she revealed the track "Again" and for the month of February, she released a new one titled "Mourning Hangover".

5/5
"February may be the month of romance but love can sometimes be bittersweet. This 2nd #TeamBaiyu song of the month mourns for the loss of a relationship. Sometimes the days following that loss can very much resemble the same confusing dizziness of emotions and sense of uneasiness as the a dreaded hangover after a hard night of partying. A disorientation of body and mind during this mourning hangover leaves the spirit disheartened but ready to move on".
"Mourning Hangover" is an KQuick-produced track, where Baiyu reflects on a past relationship. This is a beautiful song, that speaks the truth and was released during the right time. On Valentine's Day or any day in general, not everybody are in a happy place with their significant other. Just like when you drink a little too much one night and experiences certain symptoms the next morning. Eventually those awful feelings will fade away within the same day, but in a relationship that pain can stick with you for quiet a while. The track was creatively written, I love how it compares a sour relationship to what can happen from partying too much can cause. The track is that damn good to where I'm still playing on my iPod and it made its debut in February 2013.

You can download the track for free via Baiyu's official Bandcamp.
